The book does not condon violence, murder, death, or evil, it obhors it. If you ask the Jews they will tell you that what enslaved them was not the word, but evil men. Yes there are a lot of miraculous occurrences, especially around the time of Jesus, but how much harder is it to believe that these things could happen then to believe all the miraculous things that happen on a daily basis. All the unexplained phenomenon that happen all over the world. The mere fact that there is a world, a universe, a place for us to call home is the biggest miracle of all. Yes, scientist attribute the beginning of time to a big bang, which could have happened, but in order to support that you must believe that there was infinite matter that had always existed that no one created. That the world as we know it was created from nothing, out of nothing or something infinite. Why is it easier to believe in infinite matter than in an infinite creator?

One more thing, the bible does say that if you honestly truely gave your life to Christ and submitted to his will at one time or another in your life that you will always be a Christian. No matter if later on you reject the notion or leave his presence you will always be accepted into God's kingdom. The prodigal son is the story of a boy who leaves his father to do what he wants, but his father is always waiting and mourning for the day he returns. When he does, there is a great party thrown for the son who returned. This is the same with those Christians who fall away from the faith. They may fall away and not want to believe, but God is always waiting with arms open wide.

I've seen a really good debunking show on this and it proved beyond all doubt that this is just a man-made fake to make money off of gullible believers like you. An experiment was done to show that when you take an imprint of a face it's not at all what you'd expect. The man covered his face with red paint and put a cloth over it. Can you guess what happened? Well, when you take such an imprint you don't get a normal looking face. When a cloth is layed over a face like that the image becomes distorted because what you get is a map of the face as if it were ripped off and layed flat. It becomes incredibly long and looks like the kind of image you would see in a carnival mirror! The shroud does not display this phenomenon therefore it is a fake.
