Very interesting. In my opinion he is too hesitant to apply anything to modern human life. It is not surprising, considering the fact that he is a socialist.
His take on free will bugged me. Anyone else? He seems to claim that we have free will, and that it is a matter of degrees, i.e. the old "no-gun-to-my-head" thing. I think it is a much bigger philisophical question than that. Of course we think we can "choose," that is what makes it such an interesting question!
