Plural marriages may too haev shown some insight and wisdom we now ignore due to the "traditions "of the words of paul
I wonder if this guy
really believes that he will be a guest at the"Burning Lake Resort" when he dies or if he asks for god's forgiveness he'll beat the rap?
I also think that some people who know or knew (like some cardinals) about these pedophiles and kept it from the public - these disgusting people should also be shot. No mercy.

PS Look at Cardinal Mahony.

Glad to see an atheist arguing for the death penalty.
Which actually should not be suprising, since atheists support the execution without trial of about one and a half million unborn babies in the US each year.
Choice you know.

Painting with a rather broad brush, don't you think? Atheists don't all subscribe to the pro-choice movement, any more than all Christians subscribe to the same interpretation of scripture. Indeed, there are pro-choice Christians (see also here) and pro-life atheists.
In any event, about 15-20% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, most of which are not caused accidentally or by any action on the part of the mother. If there is a God that's in control (as most Christians assert), He/She/It is the most prolific acting abortionist in the universe. That's without going into the various stories in scripture where God encourages the killing of children (or is depicted as doing it Himself).
Any other comments?
Yeah, pedophiles are scum.

Dear Shicklgruber,
I am not an atheist. I am a deist.
You should read my testimony. I do not believe in the Christian God. He is as believable as Mickey Mouse, Pinocchio, and the Tooth Fairy.
Plus...how dare you judge the atheists? Isn't it written in the "Holy Bible" (a book of fiction to me and a holy book for you) that "Judge not lest you be judged"?
Anyway like JC Samuelson said, there are pro life atheists. Not all atheists are the same. Same thing goes for priests, ministers, and pastors. Some are pedophiles, some are not.

Exodus 21 verse 22. Apparently, god doesn't think ending a pregnancy is such a big deal. It's a property crime. But a kid who mouths off to his parents? Exodus 21:17, now THAT deserves an execution.
If we're going to include the classification of zygotes and emryos as "babies", and further, call it "execution" when we choose to manipulate and prevent a "potential" human life, then there should be equal opportunity for "sperm" in all of this, as well.
Thus, condom use prevents up to 180 MILLION potential "babies" per USE, which of course, would be the "execution without trial" of trillions upon TRILLIONS of potential "unborn babies" annually.
'Sound ridiculous?? Yeah, well, ironically, certain "Christians" are anti-condom for this very reason, showing---once again---that there is no objective "unity" in Christianity, and it ALL boils down to one's personal opinion on the matter. Nice try though.
Now, let's see, I am pro-freedom, and that extends to all "mothers". If a mother is sane; acting according to "reason", and without coercion (we can debate religious influence on this term) and not conflicting with the law, which prohibits the execution of a "legal citizen", then I personally don't find a problem.
My position, doesn't reflect "all" atheists. Now, unlike the irrational religionist, knowledge would allow me to understand at what point a fertilized egg becomes a conscious form, and further what would then constitute a legal citizen.
The religious don't get that choice, because they don't base their decisions on knowledge... they use belief. If a Christian truly believes that each fertilized egg, houses a "soul", then no mother "ever" has freedom of choice without commiting murder, because every fertilized egg is considered a "child" of their "God".
It's a shame to see that we have a fascist amoung the exchristian comunity here. It makes me wonder, as an atheist myself, whether a propensity to fascism may be something of a prerequisite to accepting the barbarism of xianity in the first place... OK sorry, just rhetoric - I like this site and I don't really want to offend.
And no, I have no wish to defend the hienious crimes of anybody, but 'line them up and shoot them' IS barbarism.
