The pastor of a small south Sacramento, California church has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy inside the restroom of a Meadowview library, Sacramento police said Saturday.

Frederick Dew, the 34-year-old pastor of the Praise Tabernacle church on 44th Street, was taken into custody Friday evening, according to Sacramento police Sgt. Matthew Young.

According to police, the boy was assaulted inside the rest- room of the Martin Luther King Jr. Library on 24th Street at 4:38 p.m. Thursday.

The victim escaped and immediately reported the alleged attack to library officials, police said.

Investigators do not believe the boy knew his alleged attacker, Young said.

Library security personnel were able to provide police with a detailed description of the suspect after he left the building, according to police.

Dew was arrested about 6 p.m. Friday, Young said. He was booked into the Sacramento County jail on suspicion of a lewd or lascivious act with a child under 14 by force, oral copulation with a person under 16 and false imprisonment, according to jail records.

But parishioners believe charges against Dew will be dropped.

"He's a man of God. The devil has tricks. We believe God's report, not that of the news media," said one church member, who did not want to be identified.

Dew remains behind bars on $500,000 bond.

We believe God's report

Well, that's sort of a new one.

What time does it come on? You know, so we can compare it to the official police report.

What's the difference?

Is it just me or I'm I noticing an abundance of these child sex-offenders (mostly, the clergy) being caught? What a sick bunch! I'm sure this will not be the last either. Too bad, the Holy Spirit was of no help here. That is, of no help to the innocent boy or the ordained minister!

This is how Christianity works.

The pastor who committed a heinous child sex crime will go to heaven and live in paradise for eternity only because he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

The victimized boy will likely never return to church after this traumatic crime. Therefore, he doesn't accept Jesus Christ, and he will burn and suffer in hell for the rest of eternity.

Don't you just love the logic of Christianity?

No matter what kind of "sin" sinners commit, Jesus is still Lord and He will judge rightly. This 'pastor' needs help. He will reap what he sows, but his sin is no reflection on the ability of the Holy Spirit to stop something from happening. The logic of Christianity is this: John 3:16- For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whoever would believe in him wouldn ot perish, but have everlastimg life. It's up to you what you believe, but the facts don't change just because you don't believe. The truth just is whether you believe it or not.

Frederick Dew is in need of that same Jesus that can heal, set free and deliver. We all reap what we sow. God bless!

If his parishoners had so much confidence in his innocence, why didn't they pay his bond and get him out? ROTFLMAO

Lady Aneatra: He will reap what he sows, but his sin is no reflection on the ability of the Holy Spirit to stop something from happening.

This is correct, but only because the Holy Spirit is a figment of a writer's imagination. We already know that a non-existent being has no power to stop anything from happening; therefore, we're not particularly surprised by the lack of HS intervention in this case.

The real issue here is that people who claim that they have been changed by such intervention are ending up in places of trust... And abusing that trust, and hurting people.

To Lady Aneatra:

I just love it when xristians quote john 3/16. When did god start loving the world? Have you ever read the old testament? How in the name of whatever deity you suscribe to can you believe that he loves the world?

The ot goes on, verse after verse, chapter after chapter, book after book, detailing god's hatred of all that he has created. The ot god reminds me of those insane brats that we see on Supernanny.

And where oh where did you ever pick up the phrase "christian logic"?

I have taken a special interest in you, much in the same way that a weasel takes an interest in baby chicks. I can provide my email if you would care to converse.

He will reap what he sows

Really? So what did the boy "sow" to deserve molestation and sexual assault? Oh, and what does the pastor "reap" if he asks forgiveness? According to Christobot doctrine, eternal bliss. He is forgiven. Game. Set. Match.

This 'pastor' needs help.

Yeah. That's what we always hear from you Christobots when it is one of your own, but it is "death penalty" or "life sentence" when it is an unbeliever. Hypocrits, the lot of you.

no reflection on the ability of the Holy Spirit to stop something from happening

Guess the Wholly Ghost didn't care to stop this boy from being molested, and scarred for life. That's some righteous concern there.

logic of Christianity

Now there is an oxymoron if there ever was one.

You people make me sick.

I think this political cartoon by Kirk Anderson is applicable here:

Lady A': No matter what kind of "sin" sinners commit, Jesus is still Lord and He will judge rightly.

There's no such thing as "sin", deary. But let us have a look-see at your little game of pretend.

So, your Jesus is most definitely alive then, right?.....because if, as you claim, the "Lord" is going to DO this and DO that....then we can assume that your Jesus is in fact alive, and thus, "He" most certainly did NOT "DIE" for any "sin". Simply put--- "He" didn't "sacrifice" jack-squat.

Lady A': He will reap what he sows, but his sin is no reflection on the ability of the Holy Spirit to stop something from happening.

Yep, looks like he was "sowing" some "seed", alright. Of course, little boys don't make appropriate "planters" for these asshole "men of God".

And "Holy Spirit"??? What's thAT? Well, whatever it is, it was certainly utterly useless at the time that this heinous crime took place. Hell, being that it happened in a restroom, the chances of the molesting "pastor" slipping in a puddle of piss and hitting his head on the urinal are greater than any "Spirit" intervening. Of course, the Christian would say that the "Lord" left the over-spray, himself. lol

Lady A': The logic of Christianity is this:

Step 1) [insert arbitrary/cherry-picked biblical quote here]
Step 2) Therefore, God exists! YaaY!

Lady A': It's up to you what you believe, but the facts don't change just because you don't believe.

ReaLLY?....so....s'then, just because I don't believe in the toothfairy it don't meen it ain't so? Wull golly!

Lady A': The truth just is whether you believe it or not.

That's very profound--now how about providing some evidence for the claptrap you claim as "truth"?

Lady Aneatra, it's even simpler than you make it. These are the facts:

You are stupid.

...well, how do you like that? There turned out to be only one relevant fact after all!

Lady Aneatra, let's see that pastor make a move on you in the name of Jesus Christ. He'll give the same crap to justify raping you, that he heard the Lord Jesus Christ tell him to expand his love to you.
