CHARLOTTE NC — A senior pastor charged with tax evasion must pay the IRS $13,000 by Monday or risk being taken back into custody, ruled a federal judge on Friday.
John Henry Walker, pastor at the
Macedonia Baptist Church, was indicted last May for underreporting his income between 1999 and 2003 by more than half a million dollars.
He is also accused of evading federal income taxes of more than $125,000.
He was in court Friday because he still owes $7,300 from his 2004 tax return and $5,700 from 2005.
United States District Judge Frank Whitney ruled Walker must make full payment by 5 p.m. Monday, and also must prove that none of the money came from the church.
In November, Walker pled guilty to nine felony charges.
Last month, the church voted for Walker to continue to lead the 500-member church north of Uptown.Link Previous article:

"All" are sinners (meaning missing the mark) or the "Ideal" is "Sin"
I think I am cofused as to your point.
So are you saying because God's law doesn't say specifically that you have to pay IRS then he didn't break one of the 10 commandments?
No, that is just anonymass bleating his "we are not worthy" tripe, which he does everytime someone points out the hypocritical or criminal conduct of the Jesus Munchers.
LOL!
Thanks for clarifying, I really was trying to figure out what he was saying but now that you explained it I understand why I couldn't.
"Just because a man is a so-called pastor does not make him any different from you or me, or anyone else."
He IS different from me. I don't DO these kinds of things. Most people I know don't do these kinds of things. So he's different from lots of us. But he may be just like you. Maybe you are just one more pastor criminal.
With all these pastors committing sex and/or money crimes it begins to appear as though our criminals just take the guise of pastors so they are in positions where they can live out their lusts with relative ease and little suspicion. Most people don't do that. But if you can say he's "just like us," perhaps you do.
