Sen. Satveer Chaudhary, a practicing Hindu, was re-elected to the State Senate of Minnesota in November. The following is the text a the concession e-mail message sent from his opponent, Rae Hart Anderson:
Congratulations on winning the District 50 senate race. Your phone is "busy"...no doubt with good wishes!
I've enjoyed much of this race, especially the people I've met...even you! I see your deficits--not all of them, and your potential--but not all of it. Only your Creator knows the real potential He's put in you. Get to know Him and know yourself...you'll be more interesting even to you!
The race of your life is more important than this one--and it is my sincere wish that you'll get to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He died for the sins of the world, yours and mine--and especially for those who accept His forgiveness. His kingdom will come and His will be done--on earth as it is in heaven. There's more....I love belonging to the family of God. Jesus is the way, the truth and offers His life to you and each human being. Pay attention...this is very important, Satveer. Have you noticed Jesus for yourself...at some moment in time, yet???

Death came upon all and was defeated by the superiority of Jesus' life and His tomb is empty. God in Christ is reconciling the world back to Himself, with offered forgiveness--this is one choice we get to make nose to nose with the living God--fear Him and you need fear no other. Become His family and know the love of God that passes knowledge. See Isaiah and the Gospel of John...good reading while waiting for fishes to bite.
God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus Christ lives in His earth family by His Spirit. He said He'd be back, and He said it first. You could invite Him to make the race of your life 'eternal'. God waits to be gracious to each person that knows they need to be forgiven. Do you? I think you do. Just ask. Christ won eternal life for you and said so. Take Him at His Word. Take some time to get acquainted with this power-filled Jesus...God with us. You could be a temple of the living God, by invitation---yours, TO GOD. :) There's nothing like belonging to Christ...not winning, not money, not degrees...it's the best.

He must be doing something right he won and she lost.
You go to India, they bend your necks in public offices to pay homage to their Hindu gods. You go to Iran, you will forced to say praises to Allah and Khomeni. Here we are not asking people to praise Jesus without a willing heart. All we do is to tell them the love of God in letters. What is wrong with it? I donot understand.
Why precisely is it that when christians send out this preachy asscrap it's okay but if someone else does the same then they are "wrong to challenge someones deeply held beliefs" etc.?
I swear, you people would get more convrts (and allot less revultion) if you'd just stop being so damn condescending; If christianity is as great as you seem to think it is, make an example of yourself rather than defending this, frankly offensive, drivel. Perhaps if all christians did we'd have less to hang our heads in disbelief at the stupidity of the world at, which is good: you can get back pain like that.
Notice that Paul said, "Here we are not asking people to praise Jesus without a willing heart."

Paul, you are EXACTLY the same as those people. They are brainwashed too. If you would've born in those countries, Paul, there's a very high probability you would be EXACTLY like them....praising their version of a deity. I'm glad I live in the U.S. where our government is separated from religion as determined by the Constitution---a secular document! It seems the separation of church and state is narrowing with the current regime.

I was in India for 6 months, surrounded by Indians of all stripes and colors and religions, praying around me, burying their dead, inviting me to their festivals and into their homes AND their temples. And do you know what? Not a one of them mentioned religion. They were sweet and hospitable and gracious. I work with Indians. There are more Indians on my floor than christians. And guess what? Only once, in the 3 years I've been here, did god come up, and it had nothing to do with Hinduism or Islam; it was just a conversation about the possible existence of God. Much more tolerant I'd say than your scary fictional account. Have you been to India?

Paul, if we want to hear the word preached, we would go to church. We are members here because we have heard the horseshit message so many times that it is sickening. Please take a hint and take a hike. Don't fool yourself that you may help someone here find the way. We know the way and are happy to be living in a world or reality and not fantasy. Your delusions will never have any impact on a single person on this site, I dare to say. We know the truth and the truth has set us free. If you want to know how we found this truth, we will be more than happy to share it. Otherwise, go take a long walk on a short pier!
Do you have any serious intention of converting or re-converting any of us, or are you just basking in the imaginary glow of your own simple-minded piety? If it is the latter, then grow up. Only a child needs that kind of attention.
If it is the former, then you need to learn to argue; you need to learn what is meant by evidence and facts. We have heard all this jesus drivel before. Now try to get this through your head.......I am free of the demands and constraints of religion, and no, it is not because I want to "sin" and because my acts cannot bear scrutiny. It is because it is my birthright as a sentient being to be free. You xians have this creed that only comes down to this: "we have no right to be free". You know where you can stick it.
Your aforementioned drivel has served one purpose, and that is to solidify our intention to remain free. The purpose of this site is to "encourage exchristians" and by the gods you have done just that. That might be the WM's tactics, after all.
By the way, I have read all that shit by McDowell; Stroebel; et al, and it is trash. All these people can do, if you look at it closely, is simply re-state their religion. Stroebel, in the Case for Faith, "tackles" 10 questions, and all he did was simply tell his readers the christian answers. There was no reason FOR the christian answers. Do you see the difference?
Now I am the one who is preaching. But let me teach you something. You are living in the past, by the ideas of the past, while I am living in the present, thinking for myself, and accountable to myself. You cannot convert a happy man.
I realize the guy doesn't sound very educated or thoughtful, but I doubt if even he is self-deluded enough to actually believe his parrotting the same old crap over and over and over again will win any souls for jay-zuss. Instead, he WANTS to be shot down so he can tell himself that he is being persecuted for his faith and thereby earn his gold star in heaven as a christian martyr. Glory!
In other words, Paul is a wanker and his posting habit is just a form of mental masturbation. I just wish he had the decency to close the door and do it in private without forcing us to watch.

Why would God choose a Hindu over a Christian? I suspect it's because he's sick of the crap Christian politicians have been doing in his name ;-).
Never in the history of all India, has there been a policy of bending peoples necks for any purpose.
in Iran NOBODY is forced to say any praises to the late reverend Khomeni. Indeed to do so would violate islamic and Iranian law on many levels.
Perhaps when you learn to NOT lie, you may gain some respect from me.
