An Anchorage pastor accused of molesting a teenage girl he led in worship has been arrested. The Anchorage Police Department said Pastor Dwight Greene turned himself in Wednesday afternoon.

Late Tuesday, police had actually sought the public's help in finding Greene on suspicion that he was intentionally evading them. Greene, who leads the Calvary Chapel of Anchorage, is now in jail and waiting to appear before a judge to answer charges of felony sexual abuse.

"There is a warrant for felony sexual assault of a minor," said APD spokesperson Anita Shell.

Greene is accused of sexually abusing a teenage member of his congregation, a young person he taught in bible study. APD said she was a 15-year-old member of the church who had cataloged sexual abuse by Greene in her diary and that her father discovered the confessions in the diary. The girl wrote, "Today he told me he wanted to kiss me. When he does this stuff I don't even know what to do or say. It's scary but I can't tell anyone."

According to police, the abuse also involved sexual touching.

Police had sought Greene at his personal business, Instant Imprints, and been conducting surveillance there in hopes of making the arrest there.

"There are plastic garbage bags that are covering all of the windows [at Instant Imprints]," said police.

Police, thinking that was odd behavior, thought Greene might be hiding out inside. But a search came up empty handed. Police said Greene has not cooperated much since the investigation started, but they did say he made an admission during a recorded phone call with the girl's father. In it, the father confronted Greene about the diary entries and he is said to admit touching the girl's breast.

"Are you out to hang me because I made a mistake? You should walk in my shoes, about how I have felt about that. This thing has eaten me like a cancer," Greene said to the girl's father in a telephone call.

It appears Greene's attorney had hoped to avoid his arrest by arranging to have him appear voluntarily in court, but a judge denied that request.

Meanwhile, worship services for Calvary Chapel are suspended until further notice.

Greene, who is 50 years old, has been married 28 years, has adult children and has spent his life in Anchorage. He also recently lost a discrimination lawsuit in which he sued FedEx Kinko's, claiming he had been fired because of his race and religious beliefs. The case is under appeal.

AndrewHow very very sad that this pator has done this. How much sadder it is that he tried to blame the young girl.

Oh Gosh! My heart goes out to him--pervert. Just reading the article made me want to puke.

Whatever happened to "Resist the devil and he will flee from you?" Oh well, like many Christian leaders, this one probably never read his bible either.

Go to Google.com and type in: Pastor Charged...and you'll get all the dirt on men of Faith.

The only thing that was eating Greene like a cancer was the fact that the bastard got caught.

If this peice of crap never got caught..ie Dad reading the diary..Then he would have seeked in time some other 14-15 year old whom he could manipulated and have sex with.As a fatehr of 2 girls one 13 the other 16 if my girls wanted to attend a church I would not stop them..but I would tell them it is BS. But if I came to find out the pastor was tauching my girls Id be livit!!
But this is nothing new under the sun..and saying that I do understand that up until about 100 years ago a lady over 14 would have been considered and aldult in most nations.

Pastor hon, accidentally sticking it in the wrong hole is a mistake. Trying to stick it in a 15-year-old parishioner is NOT a mistake.

Honestly if he was going to do something like this dont you think he would find a better place then church where he could be caught? Knowing him im not sure that he could have done this. Maybe the girl is mad because she wanted to be on a sports team or did something and he caught her and she was mad so she started saying stuff about him. Until he admits it we wont believe it!

The news is 100% accurate and always make the accused look inncocent...right? C'mon...this is a pastor and this is a child molestation case...HUGE!!! they don't have a story if they don't make him sound guilty. Jesus said "them that hath ot sinned, cast the first stone", don't judge a man because of what you read in the newspaper. Do some research first. How about pray for him...that would be a good start for you perfect ones.

Pray to what? Please tell me who I should pray to. Waiting...

Oh - and where have we ever said we're perfect? A little arrogant and presumptuous of you to make a statement like that, don't you think? But hey - you most appropriately represent your christ-clan by acting that way anyway. Actually, we've come to expect it. Thanks for doing what every other christfuck does when they come here and further cementing our position of non-faith in your cult, you condescending piece of shit. -Wes.

first of all i would like to commend the organizers of this site for caring enough to compile this information and inform the public of danger.

however in the case of dwight greene, some follow up information is important. i understand the disgust of those who are outraged that the alleged victim's story is being questioned, but in this case you should be angry at her because her actions have cast a doubt on the story of all those who were truly abused.

because of her unruly behavior, she was sent by her mother to live with her former step-father. because he could not trust her, she was being supervised after school by the pastor's wife. she was never alone with the pastor. this accusation came after she chose to go somewhere that she had been forbidden by her guardian and asked pastor's family to cover for her.

you had no problem assuming his guilt and posting the articles asking for other victims to come forward, so i ask, where are the further accusations? the answer: there are none!! as a matter of fact all of pastor greene's former athletes have come out in his favor and have petitioned to have him re-instated as their coach.

a former poster berated you and accused you of not praying for him, and was answered with "pray for what?" i'm asking that you join me in prayer for the truth!!

Dwight has worked with kids for a long time. With him being a softball coach is this going to be a way of getting back at your coach if he makes you mad? This could mean people are less likely to coach cause some little girl got mad and made up sotries becasue e parents or gaurdians couldnt handle her.

better yet, go to google.com and do a search for "atheist show love" or "atheist funded hospital" ...or here is a good one,

"atheists use logic" site:ExChristian.Net.

atheist are no fun... its like debating a child.

give me a break. what good are atheists?

"and GOD mocked them"

But Jesus would never hurt any one's feelings! We should all be sweet, kind and loving! Is the modern-day Church suffering from political correctness?

So, Matt. Let me get this straight. A Pastor, filled with the magical power of the Holy Ghost, is arrested for felony sexual abuse and that somehow means that atheists are bad and worthless, and arguing with atheists is like arguing with children.

Hmm.

Sorry, I don't see the correlation.

Besides, even if atheists are children, I thought becoming like children was part of the process for getting into the Kingdom of God!

Hmm. Guess it's only Christians who are commended for childlike behavior. I commend you.

Anyway, I took your advice and did the Google search on "atheism and logic." Here's the first link I found: Click Here. You'll notice the author is named Mathew. Isn't that an interesting coincidence? Perhaps it was "ordained."
