The pastor of a church in Jackson, Mississippi, has been arrested and charged with felony child abuse, a news release from the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department said.

John C. Evans, 47, 3919 McGuffee Road in Clinton, was arrested Wednesday, the release said.

Evans posted $2,500 bond, the release said. His case will be presented to a grand jury.

Evans is a minister at Cathedral AME Zion Church, 428 W. Northside Drive in Jackson, according to the church’s Web site.

Details of what led to the arrest were not mentioned. But the release said it was the result of a request for assistance from the Mississippi Department of Human Services.

Efforts to reach Evans this evening were unsuccessful.

The sad part about these perverts is, nobody cares, nobody really cares what these charlatons do, because the Bible has a built-in way out of every situation.

Forgive everybody! No matter what we must love the sinner, we must love Hitler, we must love Ossama Ben Laden, we must love and forgive.

Perhaps Hitler had family issues, perhaps Ossama was mistreated as a child, perhaps this preacher was molested as a child, we must remember to forgive and to love everybody.

We must follow our great Lord and teacher the Lord Jesus Christ!

He said, "Forgive them father, for they not know what they do", we must live as Christ and forgive, if someone breaks into your home and bludgeons to death your mother or father or sister or brother, we must pray for their aggressor and hope some day they will turn their hearts towards God and recieve his holy blessing of eternal salvation.

We must love everybody and turn the other cheek, for with whom is without sin, let them cast the first stone.

It is with this mind set that America will be destroyed, and I suppose it will be justified, because the persecuted Christians brought over here with them their book of forgiving. Although they persecuted the Indians and killed most of them, I suppose what comes around goes around.

The Bible will be the key to the downfall of America and it's Jesus mind set to forgive all that trespass upon it's soil.

It's so easy for a nonchristian to see that Jesus if he ever lived, if what he wrote is truely in the Bible, then he was completely insane, it's little wonder they wanted him dead. I wish he would completely disappear from the face of the Earth

Joseph was thrown into prison on accusations. Jesus was crucified for being a false prophet even though he came to save us! You too (if you're living right) will be persecuted. Our Word tells us all these FACTS.

It also says what dealings do light have with darkness unless it is to bring one out of darkness. For all the believers who "post comments" there is nothing to defend. Let God deal with the situation accordingly.

We know who Pastor Jackson is and what he stood for. We have nothing to prove. Our eyes are to stay on Christ and look for his return. For those who judge this man, you cause that same judgment to be poured back on you and remember we ALL have skeletons in our closets. Regardless if it were 10 years ago, 10 months ago or even 10 minutes ago. We ALL have fallen short...

May God continue to prick your heart and remind you of what He has called you to do. Are you part of the problem or part of the solution?

Which problem are you talking about? The problem of christians being "persecuted" in a country that considers itself 80% christian? The problem of "all" of us falling "short"?

Or the problem of children being molested by christian leaders?

Are you part of the solution?
