No, Christian youth pastor would ever do anything like that, and even if he did, who are we to judge? Christians are not perfect, just forgiven! If God is willing to forgive him, should we do less?

This pastor IS married, and even if he wasn't, there is no excuse to have sex with an underage person, that is just sick, the majority of 'unsaved' persons wouldn't even consider doing such a thing.

I watched that 20-20 piece where they set up these Internet whackos, "To catch a pedophile" or something, and I still am having a hard time believing the range of personalities that they stung.

Everything from doctors, to Rabbis to school teachers, to youth councilors to down right bonafide crazies.

Chrustians are the only people that can conveniently slip in and out of the flesh.

They bond by this saying "the flesh is weak, but the spirit is strong" this saying lets them do any crime or bibilical listed sin, and then they can run back to jesus and get instant forgiveness and the church gladly overlooks such foolishness.

That's all religions are for, for people to hide themselves in, and then run back to an imaginary forgiver and get saved over and over and over....etc.

What is really amazing to me is these people really believe the Holy Spirit dwells within them. So basically God was right there with Pastor Bob as he talked dirty and tried to lure a 14yo girl for sex.

Maybe the Holy Spirit is the pedophile and made Pastor Bob do it.

That's not how it works. he had stopped listening to the "still small voice," and he had "saddened" the spirit. So the spirit wasn't talking to him anymore. But apparently, nobody noticed he had lost his connection at the church. So, maybe, they have all stopped listening and the spirit isn't talking to anyone there.

It amazes me all the mental gymnastics you have to go through in order to fit all your thinking into the christian little box. It takes a lot of effort. No wonder they have no time left to do some real thinking and leave the faith.

This is NOT the first time this church has had trouble with sexual misconduct issues and the staff. Doubt it will be the last. No one holds anyone accountable these days for thier actions, and our children end up paying the price in the end. Church's should be held accountable for the actions of their employees just the same as other companies and corporations are. I am disgusted at the lack of accountability that is taken.
I am a Christian, but I dont want to be put in the same category as those people. I think we as people in general need to say enough is enough.. our childrens safety is the main priority. But, people dont want to make the :church" look bad.. well, I dont care how the church looks.. when something is wrong its wrong.. and being a christian doesnt excuse behaviour under the act of forgiveness.. its enough to make someone puke.. I think a thorough investigation should be done within this church, and any church who has issues with sexual misconduct. Its unethical and violates the sexual, emotional and spiritual rights of their victims.
This church owes its members , its organazation and its community a very PUBLIC apology.. with no excuses attached..
