HOMESTEAD, Pa. - The founder and pastor of a suburban Pittsburgh church molested a 15-year-old boy he counseled four years ago, police charged Thursday.
The Rev. Duane Youngblood of the Higher Call World Outreach Church in Homestead, told reporters he was innocent and asked for prayer as he surrendered to Allegheny County police.
The teen was molested after his mother sent him to Youngblood for counseling, police said.
County police Lt. Robert Downey said police only learned of the boy's allegations last fall. It wasn't immediately clear whether the boy had reported the alleged abuse to other agencies before that.
Youngblood was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, sexual assault and corruption of minors.
Youngblood is a married father of five, according to the Web site of his church, which he founded in 1990.

Actually ONLY xians (and other religious folks, Jews, Muslims) are sinners. Sins are only sins because religion says so.
Xians and other religions created sin. Sins are arbitray and their only purpose is to manipulate people.
For example, for xians, having sex before marriage is a sin. But the non-religious person who fornicates is not a sinner, because sin does not exist for that person. Only those who believe in a religion that touts sin can be a sinner. The religious leaders want followers to behave in a certain way. For xians it is especially important for women to be virgins at marriage. What better way to try to insure this than make pre-marital sex a sin with the punnishment of burning in hell?
Is pre-marital sex for a man or a woman illegal? No.
Is it wrong? That's a matter of opinion just as sin is a matter of opinion.
This site doesn't have to focus on the bad of xianity. There is so much of it out there it keeps barging in. Saying this site focuses on the bad of xianity is like saying a phone book focuses on numbers. It's simply what it's all about.
This site is about the hypocracy of xianity--- the hypocracy that has made us all open our eyes and scream "What a bunch of bullshit!!"
It is hypocrital for a preacher to tell someone they are a sinner for pre-marital sex and then the preacher goes out and rapes children. If a preacher can't "practice what he preaches" why should anyone else? How valid is what he preaches if he doesn't believe in it and follow it himself?
But you are right. Christians aren't any better than anybody else. Reading the Bible doesn't make anyone morally or ethically superior, as these stories point out.
And, just imagine what it would have meant to this abused 15-year-old if his parents had focussed a little bit more on the bad side of christianity.
When you stop to think about it, if a man and a woman don't have intercourse as soon as the desire comes over them they are breaking Gods rules. We were created by the process of natural selection, and our ancestors who were the strongest and were attracted to and by the opposite sex the most often, and copulated the most, and thus reproduced more often, were doing exactly what enabled us to flourish. We were doing God's will.
There were many times down through history, since we first started evolving that disease mayhem, and natural disasters were killing off our ancestors at such a horrific rate that the one most dominate trait we possessed, just may have been our desire to "do it" as much and as soon as we could.
So you see it isn't any coincidence that men were created with the desire to screw the most attractive and healthy females they encountered. The instinct that makes man fight to the death to protect his woman is the very same instinct that insured our survival as a species.
The most desirable humans who want to reproduce the most often are only doing what we were created to do.
The problem now though is that there are so many people doing Gods will and reproducing so fast that His perfect self correcting system is getting ready to "self correct" Pollution or disease or natural disaster, caused by pollution, or weapons of mass destruction employed by some of us against another group that doesn't think like us, is about to eliminate a bunch of us.
At the conclusion of the dying off cycle of life on earth, if there are any of us left, another trait like intelligence my emerge as more dominate than the urge to reproduce. But there is no guarantee that the human race will survive.
No matter though, there are billions of galaxies out there with more billions of planets, so there must be plenty of life forms, some more advanced than ourselves, to carry on Gods work!

I thought Christianity was all “good.” Well, I see it doesn’t work like it touts to:
Be born again
Become anew
The old passes away and behold all things become new
Renewing of your mind
Become a new creature/creation
If one of us (unbelievers) commits such a crime, it wouldn’t be a shocker to the Christians, no, no, no. They are quick for saying that unbelievers have no morals without their god(s) beliefs. Therefore, nothing good, moral or just is to be expected from us. Meanwhile, this bastard will get a prayer, forgiveness and a pat on the back along with a “don’t worry the devil made you do.”
For all you undercover Christians –your bible says:
DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU!!!
I hope this preacher gets his salada tossed in the jail cells – daily. Not even a prayer is gonna save that ass. Inmates don’t take it lightly when you are locked up for harming a child.
Just another of god's cruel tricks. He makes sex pleasurable and as basic a need as food, water, shelter, etc., and then says it's a sin.
"Be fruitful and multiply, but know that you will go to hell for doing it because it's a sin."
Masturbation, as an example, is a supposed "sin" to religious folk.
whereas masturbation is natural in the real world. There are many more instances, but this one is a good example.
whereas masturbation is natural in the real world."
Well Jim, from the looks of it mattfulfs2 is actually saying:
[blank] exists; and according to my book [blank] is a sin. Everyone does [blank] so therefore, all sin.
I would love for mattfulfs2 to fill in the blank with all the various "sins" using "molesting a 15 year old" as one of them.
I use the word God, interchangeably with, creator, prime mover, cause of the big bang, higher power, etc., because being an agnostic, I don't know the correct definition of God. As far as I can figure out no one knows for sure what the force that put everything into motion,is,or even if there is one.
I don't see God as an intelligent being except when I am being sarcastic about how unintelligently he designed the universe and life here on earth in particular.
I mean like: What sense does it make to have life evolve here for 4 billion years, and then just when a species finally gets to the top of the food chain that can think and ponder his creation God lets an event take place that wipes everything out?
Dan (Rationalist)
I don't, there are too many cases that show christians as not flying right...
Some christians believe they must "earn" their salvation... and then, there are those who just want divine "welfare", because they are "owed" something for accepting a title/label...
If you are one who believes you must "earn" your salvation, then obviously, you "must" fly right, or, you discredit the "conviction" of your belief/faith...
mattfulfs2: "If it was that easy why continue to read the Bible, have fellowship with other Christians, or try to tell others about Christ and what he has done after becoming Christian."
Ah, you appear to believe, we were put here to be "tried", and depending on how well we do, we are rewarded accordingly in the after life. Still, its not words that save, its "works", i.e., fellowshiping, proselytizing, etc.
If a christian is saved by "works", and all mankind is sinful, then... aren't "all" works tainted by our human sinful natures...
If you believe, that "intent" is good enough to prove faithfulness, then, why not just accept salvation by "grace", alone, and just do whatever you want in life, like many liberal christians do. To many liberal christians, it "is" that easy...
mattfulfs2: "Some are influenced by temptation they then lose there way even though they are Christian."
If mankind is prone to sin always, then how does one become a "true witness" for christ... Doesn't seem possible, if everyone faces temptation and sin... I suppose if a christian is willing to accept that Jesus wasn't perfect, and fell into temptation and sin, then they could hope to live a christ like life, as a "true witness", but, then, that just makes Jesus as ordinary as everyone else on this planet... and not really a deity or "son of god" - just a mere mortal like everyone else, a Jewish belief, by the way.
"Whoever said everyone after becoming Christian or even claiming to be Christian, as some do, fly a straight and true path."
By the same circumstances, how many times have we been told by xians that if we left xianity, we were never xian to begin with...?
Isn't there supposed to be a noticable change that occurs when you accept the jeez into your heart? Isn't the in-filling of the holy spook supposed to make you a new and better person?
Aren't xians supposed to be a representation of christ to others?
Isn't this what you are here trying to sell us?
Sorry mattfluff, but "they'll know we are xians by our love" doesn't mean buggering 15 year-old children.
There is obviously something wrong with xianity, if there is NO lifechanging experience when you become "saved." And in that, such a change should last a lifetime.
The only change I notice is that people become brainwashed and then self-righteous. Others figure it out and walk away.
mattfluff2 said...
"Some are influenced by temptation they then lose there way even though they are Christian."
Comparing "losing their way" to having their way... with a child?
What colour is the sky on your planet? Or was this pastor just trying to exorcise evil spirits out of this youth... with his penis? Xian or not this guy is still a pervert.
Come on, if there is NO real change that takes place when one becomes a xian, then why become one? Fear of hell? Church, a place to network? A social gathering?
If you wish to continue being a xian, and affiliating with the likes of people like that perverted pastor who is supposed to be a shining example of the love of the sweet love of the jeez, that is your right, knock yourself out!! Keep on that path...
After all that IS the path that seemeth right unto men.
I have chosen a path less traveled, and it's certainly not xianity.
Cheers
Especially for young boys.
That didn't take long.
There is no evidence right now that proves this man's guilt. I know that many of you don't care about sending this information toa church, but that is sick.
Take a moment to think about this man's family, this church, and most importantly the alleged victim involved. Man, even if you don't believe in prayer it sound like a good idea. How do you know that they weren't praying for all of the families.
You guys sound like the judgemental christians that you hate so much.
We need to get a life.
But, if he is, did he not have better things to do than to molest a little boy?
Did not the boy have better things to do than trust a person disquised as a figure that all Americans put in public trust?
If this preacher is found guilty, which most likely he will be, I think that you anonymous, whom is afraid to even post a false name, should come back and openly apologize for being so closed minded and ignorant.
Would you do that, or do you remotely have the balls?
You sound like you have been runned scared of jesus and hell.
Ben
These people are of a denomination that is wholly self-serving. They are about money, power, and having themselves propped up on a religious throne by calling themselves "apostle", "bishop", and "elder". I counted at least 6 different places on this website that strongly compel the ignorant to "send us your money", all of which when clicked on, send you to the same exact link that is hosted by paypal.
The following excerpt from his own website makes transparent that it is foremost all about money and fame under the guise of ministering.
"Under his direction(Youngblood's), the Higher Call World Outreach Church has:
1. Recorded two CD's each with original music.
2. Began a drama Production entitled "Richland".
3. Purchased two church locations.
4. Purchased television equipment to begin the television production of "Higher Call".
5. Built a studio for live and studio recordings.
6. Established over 40 ministries that helped serve the greater vision of the church.
7. Established ministries for men, women, and children.
8. Began the Duane Youngblood School of Ministry.
9. And a host of other programs events and outreaches to the community."
Hmmmm....seems to me their priorities are a little out of line with the teachings of jesus.
At the top of the list, items 1 through 5 have not much at all to do with their supposed "higher calling" to do the work of a humble servant called to win souls, as described in the new testament (sell all you own, give it to the poor, humble yourself, etc.). Items 7 and 9 are the closest to what the supposed jesus would approve of, yet they are at the bottom of the list. It appears to me that their own personal financial interests are the highest priority.
Anonymous, you say we need to get a life. I say these self-important, money-grubbing Jim Bakker Jimmy Swaggart types need to get real jobs instead of fattening their bank accounts fleecing their ignorant brainwashed flocks. Also, we are not judging him the same way christians judge us non-believers, in which they see us as sin-filled trash bound for hell simply because we don't share their silly beliefs. We are judging him according to the available evidence, which is the fact that there certainly was enough evidence of wrongdoing to arrest this dirtbag. Be careful, anonymous, you sound all too eager to defend a child molester.....
Unfortunately.
"Take a moment to think about this man's family, this church, and most importantly the alleged victim involved."
Take a moment to think about this 15 year old whose is now scarred for life. Will most likely have to go through therapy for years to come.
Why? Because this preacher was not thinking with the head atop his shoulders.
Put the blame where it belongs. Perhaps he should have thought about his church, wife and family before he decided to bugger this child.
Evidently, the life changing power of the jeez was lost on this preacher. It must not have been powerful enough to keep him from his lust of young boys.
This preacher is not praying for these families, his preying on these families.
This man was in a position of a spiritual leader, a position of trust. A position above reproach. The problem is that this happens much too often. These reports come in dearly everyday from all over.
Can't blame this on a devil. These guys need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop trying to sell us on a life changing experience that doesn't even work for them. Especially if they're only in it to collect money and molest minors, which appears to be the case. What a lofty facade they hide their true colours behind. Whited sepulchers full of dead mens bones decorating the mask that hides their true inner darkness.
If this man goes to prison for this, he will find out first hand what it is like to be molested.
Are you ready to accept jeezus, into your....... mouth?
cheers
Hey Timotheus, regarding, money and business, and churches. Many religious leaders/businessmen find that they must create a demand for their business, which is to kill the competition. Non-believers and a free way of life, is in competition with religiously controlled businesses, hence, why some degrade, condemn, etc., everyone else who aren't part of their fold. I'd say, they don't just condemn non-believers, either, many of the more aggressive businessmen/religious leaders attack others of religion as well.
Religious leaders many times view modern day religion, as nothing but business, spirituality takes a back seat to their competitive survival. The followers are typically ignorant to the internal business affairs of the church, and still hold onto the belief of "spirituality" as being teh "most important" concept of a church.
It's deceptive, religious leaders Value the building and potential income, prestige, etc., over spirituality. And, many followers, especially young followers, Value spirituality above all else, but are told and sold on the "need" for a building and a person holding a piece of paper that says "pastor" to bring them "spirituality".
Talk about false advertising, but, many people buy things in society that they really don't need, that extra big screen TV, they watch one hour every two weeks, that sports car, that they can only drive 55mph between their house and work, etc.
Marketing, and advertising is all about getting someone to buy something, at all costs. They target everyone with their product, and make a case that everyone "needs" their product, its deception tactics, but, without those tactics, much of the commercial/retail industries would not be in business. Nations leave it up to their citizens to figure out what they need and what is unnecessary.
Educating citizens in regard to business, doesn't promote a strong industry or business base, thus, we really don't see these topics being discussed anywhere outside of business ethic courses in advanced academic degree programs, or in perhaps a philosophy course.
Religions are just different isles in a huge department store, that many people peruse during their lives, thinking they may find something worthy of their payment. And, then, there are those who just walk out in the parking lot, and look at the store which sells religion off the shelf, and realize the entire store is nothing but a business. Take care...

It must have just been down temporarily when I checked it.
Maybe it was getting too many hits. :-)
It must have just been down temporarily when I checked it.
Maybe it was getting too many hits. :-)
I've had many others tell me the same thing has went on in their churches too, you see, a lie cannot be made into the truth, no matter who much you want a lie to become true it cannot, it will only cause chaos, and I'm sure you've seen it yourself.
I'm proudly not a chriistian and never have been and I have seen little girls dressed up to look like little women and I have had lustful thoughts about them, but I would never attempt to touch one or harm one in any way, Why? Because I know it's wrong!!! It's wrong to force oneself on to other people, they are a seperate entity being, from me. What I think, may not be what they think, and most likely we are not thinking the same thing, ever! So I do and act by what I know is right, not what I think I would like to do.
Now, I do not get up in public and profess to have some devine calling, and claim to hold a position that was granted to me by a god for being deemed worthy in a gods eyes, as all preachers do and take peoples money, on top of that.
Someone said, if one apple in the barrell is bad, does that make all the apples bad? Yes it does! Because all the apples are claimng to be pure and without worms or rotten, now none of the apples can be trusted. If one preacher in the entire USA cannot abstain from committing crimes of the laws of this land, then this defrocks the whole entire bunch.
They're all crooks and total frauds and you might as well know it now.
All religions are a fraud and a hoax, it's all make believe child pretend for those that never grew up mentally.
All religions are for the sick and mentally ill. Sounds like you fit right in.
You're so scared to even leave a false name, what a little snit you are.
Anonymous, you have no idea how any of us have lived our past lives, unless we present that information to you, therefore, that comment is based on total ignorance.
Anonymous: "Unfortunaetly, there are people that do this to minors, but all pastors and who chose to be saved. NOBODY in the church is Perfect not even the pastor and I go to a good church and the Pastor does not single people out."
Even if we all lived a perfect "saved" life, and according to "christian" doctrine, its apparent, that it doesn't "save" anyone from committing crime. Therefore, Anonymous, why follow a religious leader, i.e., ward bishop, etc., if they are all corruptible? Why wouldn't a person choose to become the best they can be, on their own and based on their own conscience?
Anonymous: "Last but not least, I know this pastor and I will be upset if what he is accused of is true, but I am not going to judge him,..."
But of course, you have no problem judging "most" of the people here, as not being "saved" or as having lived a "christian" life. That would be hypocrisy, and selective reasoning...
Anonymous: "...but pray for him and I admonish you to do the same."
And, again, why would you suggest that we need to pray for this individual. He's already committed the crime, what are we praying for, his salvation? Why wouldn't we be praying for the victims and their pain and suffering? Oh, that's right, victims of the christian religion are less important than the promotion of the religious "cause". Those who are abused via religious leaders, members, etc., are nothing but collateral damage in the wake of the almighty church.
Anonymous: "As my Bishop would say, keep living because you don't know what you might do to shame yourself, your family and friends."
Perhaps, you should send the good pastors that advice, as its apparent he needs it more than many others.
Really? Are you saying what he did to tickle ‘yall fancies should outweigh the fact that he caused harm to an innocent victim! You gots to be f&&King kidding right? Please say you are.
Annoy said: no one but the pastor and the young man and god knows what happened between the two and it would be so nice if people would stop being so judgemental and live life to the fulless.
The only one that knew it happened was the pastor and the young man. If you are going to insert your “god” knowing, then apparently “it” watched the entire thing happening and turned a blind eye…hummm (the all seeing dog (god)). Speaking about living life to the fullest, lets hope the victim can move on to this fullness.
Annoy said: stop being so negative about everything.
Are we to be positive about such an act? Is it to be swept under the carpets? Do you condone such behavior?
Annoy said: even if this minister is proved to be guilty who are we to pass judgement we have no heaven or hell to put anyone in.
When the pastor is found guilty it means that he was JUDGED by members of his peers, simple.
You are right about no heaven or hell to put anyone (that’s if you know where this heaven and hell is located) – maybe somewhere, out there………………………………………
Right.
Regardless, nothing, absolutely nothing said on this site is locking this man in prison. It's a discussion, that's all.
The posts of late accusing everyone of being judgmental are so funny. Statements like: You are bitter, you are judgemental, etc., are blatantly judgemental statements, aren't they?
Ironic.
When you say that the people who are here discussing the issues are hypocritical, concerning this pastor WHO WAS CHARGED WITH MOLESTING A 15 YEAR OLD BOY, you are actually saying we/ the discussions are two-faced, deceitful, phony, dishonest, disloyal, unfaithful, and treacherous.
We are not being phony about what we are saying; we are neither two-faced or deceitful and dishonest. A pastor, who mind you is to “practice what he preaches” is practing hypocracy…Get it!
I have yet to see one these stories come back with a not-guilty verdict.
That's the point anony-nony! NO magical Holy Sprite filling them with the laughing gas of Jebus, obviously. If the Christian leaders are no different from anyone else, then can the regular pew warmers be far behind?
Nope, there is nothing special, magical or mysterious about Christianity, except for the fact that too many people believe it.
Ooooh, I see....BLASPHEMY...like, god is a wuss-bag.
~ blasphemy is a blast-for-me!!!! LMAO!!!!!
I have an uncle who is a christian, but when he was a lot younger he molested me twice when he was supposed to babysit me.
Christianity and sexual perversion seem to compliment each other. Thank goodness I left that garbage.
Dano: You make no sense. Your ramblings remind me of the Marquis de Sade, who believed in extreme freedom without any law or ethics. Even without God, we have reason for a guide. Living a life that's right for a human being is the point, not just screwing to make more babies.
Anonymous (who repeatedly posted): I will let my judgement be known. I am not afraid to say this thing is damnable and unforgiveable if it was done to a little boy. This minister should never find peace, but should have to live with the regret of his wrongdoing until he dies, which we hope is very soon. He needs a little dirt nap and should just hang himself in jail if he did it. Dave got it right; we should be concerned only for the victim and hoping he gets a just verdict.
South 2003: We get a couple of these e-mails every week of pastors doing dirt. Why is that? Aside from the thief on the cross thing, it's because they are fascists. They believe that, ultimately, individuals should be subjected to the collective. As self-appointed leaders of the collective, they assume great power to abuse others. Since God doesn't talk to them like they think he should, they get bored and go through with it. Lesson learned: stop giving people this kind of power, and definitely don't leave your child alone with somebody who believes in the imaginary.
None that made these comments went to that church, or know that man or that family. All that have made comments are like sideline football players, talking about what the will do, or what needs to be done. But none are on that field with 250+ men running at you to knock you down.
No one walked a second with him or in his shoes. No one making these comments knows the pain or know what it's like to have a all knowing God call you to his service, fully knowing what you are about. This is a servant of the Lord God, whether you believe it, like it or not. Your best position is to keep any man or woman of God out your twisted conversation. His God will deal and has dealt with him about this matter as a son. But what will that same God do to those that miss handle him.
As far as those allegations are concerned. No one in this blog knows enough to really say anything. None of you even go to his church. However, the best thing any of you can do is to keep him and all parties in your prayers, that what needs to be done will be done.
Oh-he is not in jail.
Feel the mighty move of GAWD! LOL!
