A Springfield Fla. pastor was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after a witness told police he saw the pastor throwing puppies from a pickup truck

Robert Tiencken said he saw Vincent Kohn, pastor of The Anointed Church of God, throwing several puppies into the woods and leaving them to die.

"He was actually throwing them, not setting them down, but throwing them as far as the trees. Just chucking them," Tiencken said. "He said, 'I told my wife. You don't have to call the police. You don't have to call them.'"

Tiencken called the police anyway.

The detectives who tracked down Kohn said they found the malnourished mother of the puppies chained-up at Kohn's home along with four or five more puppies that had no food or water.

The dogs are now being cared for at animal control.

Many of the abused puppies had lost patches of fur and some were covered with sores hidden beneath their fur. Puppies Thrown From Pickup Truck

Channel 4 wanted to give the pastor a chance to speak for himself, but when reporter Jennifer Waugh arrived at Kohn's home a livid man pulled into the driveway and started yelling, cursing, and threatening to sue Channel 4.

"Any footage that y'all put on the news that shows you was past the property line, just know y'all going to get it," said the irate man.

He then sped away in reverse, nearly hitting an on coming vehicle. It was unclear if the man knew Kohn.

Kohn has been charged with abandonment and cruelty to animals with unnecessary suffering.

"I just wonder what his parishioners are going to think. It's just unbelievable," Tiencken said. "Just to haul buggy and leave them on the coldest night. It's just terrible."

Those Christ-like people transformed by the blood of jesus never cease to amaze me.

I wonder how many sermons on long suffering, love, patience, and "don't the sun set on your anger" he preached.

I learned a song when I was captive in church, it went something like:

"Oh the sweet sweet love of Jesus, vast unmeasured boundless, free"

I guess this pastor know better huh?

Animals have no feelings or a soul like us Christ-like humans do, it's all written down in a book, called man's ignorant insane ramblimgs make believe bible, what sin has any animal commited, none, yet they all die too. That is the reason the bible was written, so that men could do as they please, even to the animals and pretend that they are forgiven by a fake god.

The bible was written by men, for men, to forgive men, to have control over men.

The pastor was an "old school" preacher. He was just performing Old Testament animal sacrifices to a Gawd who likes to see animals suffer.

If there was a Gawd who cared about his reputation, he would work out an ironic end for this preacher - the pastor would be pushed out of a helicopter at a hundred feet.

Well Webmaster I'll be honest with you. Being someone who loves dogs you really made my blood boil with this story. I'm absolutely speechless afer reading about this idiot. You know for me this story boils down to christian arrogance and nothing else. I guess because puppies don't have souls (like you and me) and you know Jesus didn't die for puppies like he did for us I guess that gives us the right to throw them from moving vehicles and treat them like yesterday's garbage. You know what Gang if your looking for something to do on a Sunday morning that is more fulfilling than being brainwashed by a know it all Pastor try finding a good local animal shelter that has these little guys best interests at heart. Since I have walked away from christianity I have found that volunteering my time at a local animal shelter on Sunday morning is far more fulfilling than sitting in church and listening to an arrogant hypocritical know it all preacher. That's right I have found that cleaning up dog crap on a sunday morning is far better than joining a heartless mind controlling cult. Some of my best experiences in life growing up have come from these awesome creatures. When I see how loving my dogs are and how protective they are of me and my son I always had this thought in the back of my mind that maybe a loving god did create these loving creatures. After reading this article I'm brought back to the cold reality that a loving god could never create a heartless hypocritical individual like this idiot. There isn't a hell hot enough for this scumbag!!!!!!

Some rambling thoughts here:
1) god spelled backward is dog.
2) Guess this "preacher" missed the part of his bible that says "if ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me" - or something like that.
3) I believe strongly in the law of return...meaning that which you give out - good or bad - comes back to you 10 fold eventually. I've seen it happen too many times to not believe it!
4) a local man near where I live was taken to court for putting his dog on a chain hooked up to the back of his pick up and dragged him down the street with people screaming at him to stop and him telling them to f**k off. He was basically given a slap on the wrist. Had this been a child or adult, his ass would have been in jail for some time.
5) You know what? The "christians" who troll this site and post their inane ramblings of lunatics are simply PROVING us right! It proves they have to "shove it down our throats" no matter what, even here. They are incredibly pathetic. Seems like the have to do this to help them believe the crap they are brainwashed with...so they come here and get a eyeful and then preach, giving themselves a shot of their addiction and off they go.

Wow, there’s not a lot of comments on here given by cousin-chasing-sister-f**king-Springer-watching-trailer-living-white-trash louts.

Please, win us over with more astounding generalizations. You have such a way with words surely it’s wasted on this site. You should have your own radio show. I say radio because with your face and lack of teeth TV might not be so kind.

Anonymous bill said...
naw, radio wouldn't work either. The voice sounds ugly too.

that's christianity for you. hypocrasy and hate. But why blame the poor pastor, he was just following the bible to the letter. I think the bible should be banned.

Anonymous Anonymous said...
Sounds like this guy treats his dogs like he would like to treat his church members, since he keeps his members mind's chained and feeds them lies and poor advice and then takes their money and runs like hell. That sob needs to be locked up with the rest of the ungodly preachers.

Wade, good point.

My wife and I recently had to put our 13 year old dog down due to sickness.

He was a member of our family.

He was always there at the door with tail wagging when we came home from work.

He loved to ride in the car.

We gave him a little people food every day in addition to his dog food.

I could not take him to the vet on the day he was put down. My wife, who was not as attached to him, had to take him. I just could not do it.

We have a picture of him on our fireplace mantle, with our two cats who also loved him.

Those who do cruel and malevolent things to any animal, especially pets, are sick. That's all I have to say about that.

I once read that one of the warning signs of a psycho-path is cruelty to animals. They later go on to inflict the same behavior on humans.

I would hate so see how the good reverend treats his children if he's throwing defenseless puppies out his car window.

"Animal Cruelty and Psychopathology

The main concern of animal welfare organizations for more than a century, the issue of humans' cruelty to other animals, crossed into the academic sphere about 30 years ago when studies confirmed early cruelty to animals as a predictor for later violence against people (Lockwood & Ascione, 1998). This area now takes two directions: continuing the individual, psychiatric approach and adding family systems descriptions, placing abuse of animals within domestic violence. Research connects various manifestations of an over-all culture of violence (Ascione & Arkow, 1999). Information disseminates rapidly to animal welfare, women's shelter, veterinary, and law enforcement professionals.

Childhood cruelty to animals appears in the DSM (American Psychiatric Association, 1994) as a Conduct Disorder symptom. Early cruelty is widespread and serious (Ascione, 2001; Miller, 2001). Current work on measures of childhood cruelty to animals attempts to sort out developmental pathways of common harm to animals from malice and pathology (Ascione, Thompson, & Black, 1997; Guymer, Mellor, Luk, & Pearse, 2001). Violence toward other animals is intergenerational and cyclical. Children in households with domestic violence often hurt animals (Ascione, 2001). Adults who abused animals as children are more likely to accept corporal punishment and hitting wives as part of family life (Flynn, 1999), bringing the problem full circle."

http://www.psyeta.org/sa/sa10.4/raupp.shtml

Once a person is psychologically dissociated, and has no capability to behave with compassion or empathy, they view living beings as meat. In order for someone to hurt a defenseless animal without remorse, they have to be psychologically unfit. Psychologically unfit people, don't limit their abuse to just animals... Hope this guy isn't married, and doesn't hang around little children.

personaly this piece of shit should be thrown from a speeding vehicle and left there to die

I don't have a single problem with his wanting to get rid of the puppies. But he should have stuffed them into a bag and attached that to his trucks exhaust. Then nobody would have been any the wiser that he had a bag full of dead dogs when he went to the dump. The guy was a dumbass. I've put several sick animals down since having a "hobby farm" for several years. Its not fun, but I certainly don't advertise it to my neighbors beyond them hearing a gunshot and the sound of the tractor digging a hole. Sorry all you puppy lovers out there, but the way he did it was wrong. The actual need to get rid of the dogs wasn't.

Yeah, I suppose the main goal is for everyone to destroy and extinguish all living things from this planet as soon as possible.

Hey Dave8,
Good point regarding animal cruelty and its association to human cruelty.

One of the most notorious serial killers in U.S history was Jeffrey Dahmer. He played with dead animals as a youth before his killing spree, even eating some of his victims. I imagine he killed animals as a youth too.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeffrey_Dahmer

Of course Jeffrey Dahmer was a True Christian. His father, Lionel Dahmer, who has a PhD in Chemistry, believes in the biblical creation story and occasionally consults on that topic. Check out Lionel Dahmer's name on the following web site for the purpose of peddling the creationist argument. Notice the missing biography.

Hey Passerby, yep, good ol' Dahmer family. Dad was able to rear a great child based on his parenting skills, now, he gets to continue using the same illogical fundamentalist brain to warp other peoples' minds. Perhaps, Daddy Dahmer will continue to raise community children with his patented technique, known as "Dahmers Dazzling Daddy Development", the four essential D's in a child's life to teach them how to be 'Real' fathers ;-)

Cheers

Lets not forget that God once wiped all the animals of the Earth (after putting one pair of them or was it seven? into a BIG boat)and he also dmande daily animal killings because he loved the smell of 'burnt flesh' as a token to take away sins, which they didn't do and so he had a 'human sacrifice' of his son (himself?) to make him feel better...

Is this an Ex-Christian site or an Anti-Christian site?\
I can be an ex-alcoholic and not HATE alcohol!!!!
Why all the prejudice and hate?

Blogger .:webmaster:. said...
You're right Anony, throwing puppies out of a moving vehicle is no reason to get excited.

After all, millions, perhaps billions, of evil unbelievers will be writhing for all eternity in horrific agony under the watchful eye of the God of unconditional love.

In comparison to that, a couple of splattered and mangled mutts isn't anything at all.
